Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved tower as well as a Buddhist holy place. It was constructedin 648AD to house Buddhist sutras brought to China from India by the monk XuanZhang. Located about 4km (2.49mi) from downtown Xi’an, it attracts numerous visitors for its fame within the Buddhist religion. This attraction has three mainparts: the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Da Cien Temple, and the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The pagoda has seven floors, and visitors are allowed toclimb to the top. The temple has many lazy gardens, a cemetery for prominent monks, and stunning Tang Dynasty buildings.
